Question: Why Go Green?
Answer: Because if we don't-- the human race could be wiped out, that's why! It is very important to consider not only the safety conditions of the planet, but the people that live in it, too. "Going Green" is ultimately saving the generations that follow in your footsteps.
For my brand, "Crown-me"-- I design a collection made from eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton, wool, hemp, soy-silk, bamboo, etc.
Did you know... that growing cotton uses 22.5 percent of all the insecticides used globally? Growing enough cotton for one t-shirt requires 257 gallons of water. On top of that, bleaching and then dyeing the resulting fabric creates toxins that flow into our ecosystem. The use of rayon for clothing is contributing to the rapid depletion of the world's forests. Petroleum-based products are detrimental to the environment on many levels. Fortunately there are alternatives.

Also, 1% of the brand's earnings goes toward "Fashion for Relief/Haiti", which was organized by British supermodel, Naomi Campbell. The charity helps rebuild Haiti's new healthcare system for mothers and babies.

I don't know about you, but when I am flipping through fashion magazine after fashion magazine, I see a lot of, well...nothing! When I say, "nothing", I am referring to how thin and frail fashion model's have gotten in the industry due to the industry's weight/height requirements becoming to strict-- and unhealthy!
Curves are beautiful, not to mention... normal! What happened to the olden days, when curves were the "in" thing? I believe I can speak for many women, and exclaim that nothing has happened... because, they are still "in"! That is why my brand, "Crown-me" supports average size models, who look and feel great about their bodies. Food is good, food is a necessity to life, not to mention...food is YUMMY-- eat it [Doctor's recommend it!].

I believe this to be a social responsibility that sends a positive and "feel good" message to all women in society (as well as promoting my brand of royalty, "Crown-me"-- all at the same time!).
